Ever Want a Raised Bed Garden in Anchorage, Alaska

Octagonal Raised Bed Garden.

Constructed this in my lawn for this growing period and the future. My better half actually enjoys the height and dirt level. Very little flexing over to tend the plants! General height is 3 cedar pickets, 16 - 1/2 inches. No untiling up the yard. Has integrateded adjustable stress on interior and outside walls to compensate for pressure from damp dirt and avoid bowing of walls. Utilizes natural cedar which has really good rot resistance for a long life. I chose not to use outdoor dealt with wood due to chemicals utilized in leaching and treating the wood into yard. This yard is larger than you believe, as I have just over 160 specific plants, and onion bunches. It's amazing how many plants fit. This garden is 16 ft throughout, with appx. 5 ft center octagon.

With the center location open, you can easily reach all parts of the garden from the inner and external perimeters. This garden can be made wheel chair accessible, as the entrance width on mine is 25 inches, however can be quickly modified. The entire yard can be built to any size that matches you, and your requirements or backyard. Will take me a couple of days to fill and construct with dirt for you. Will loaded with premium topsoil that is combineded with peat and sand away in anchorage.
